I prefer the definition of this human relationship taken from Jim Rohn.

First there is a “prospect”, this is like your first meeting online, not much is happening other than they opted-in on your landing page or website just to check you out and to see if they like you and what you have to say.

The second stage is the “customer” phase, and this is when they buy some of your affiliate stuff, like programs to help them build their business.

This is the third phase: “client”. Now here’s the stage when you separate the wheat from the shaft and thing start falling apart for the average IU-M&C. In today’s Internet marketing arena “top tier” companies rule cyberspace. This is where the big money is made and normally this is where the big money is paid at the entry level.

You all know the saying;” big risk big reward”. With the economy being what it is, a lot of people are willing to roll the dice. This is where the relationship changes. One of the most common statements in Internet Marketing is “Network marketing, and the method by which we used to promote our products was “old school” and with the advent of the Internet we market our products a whole new way.”

Well if this is the case I believe the way we sponsor and train must change too and in my opinion the sponsor now takes responsibility and accountability for the care of their “client”. It’s no more a casual relationship based on a $395 distributer kit. Sponsors need to take their clients under an umbrella of protection.

This is the big leagues and we play by a different set of rules. This is where the sponsor drives success based upon his experience and expertise creating short cuts and passing on lessons learned the hard way. Driving success doesn’t mean broadcast emails either. That’s for the “prospect” faze when you are building that relationship.

In the client phase its constant and continuous personal contact with an action plan established in advance and continually monitored and tweaked for performance. It’s a mind-set of the sponsor and team member to take advantage of; as Mike Dillard would say, “Ignorance on Fire”. This is in that first 90 day window.

The fourth phase is “Patron”. This is the phase where you client becomes a patron or yours. This relationship is built upon trust and respect and based upon the fact that you brought them to the Promised Land.

No one can guarantee anyone’s success in Internet marketing, we all know that. You get out what you put in, but in Internet marketing when the stakes are higher there is an expectation of a higher standard of support.

Many small business owners are left struggling to meet payroll and overhead obligations and left with only meager earnings to satisfy personal obligations. These entrepreneurs are being squeezed out of the market through increased cost to operate a traditional ‘brick and mortar” business coupled with softening of the margins necessary to operate a business profitably.

Consequently the small business owner is left with few options to stay in business and in most cases requires the reduction of labor and or reduction of benefit plans which perpetuates the cycle of economic recession.

Craig’s list has become a fertile hunting ground for modern day carpetbaggers who exploit the misfortune of the small business owner who are selling their products at deeply discounted pricing only to discover the product was resold at a higher price.

It’s no wonder many small business owners are looking toward the Internet as the next frontier of economic prosperity. Many small business owners have the “right stuff” to operate a business successfully: after all they have been operating profitably for years prior to the economic crisis.

The Internet provides an ideal venue to operate within, without the traditional responsibilities of operating a small business. Void of overhead expense these modern day warriors hungry for opportunity see the Internet as a way out of the economic recession. Once again they are able to retain a margin which normally would be allocated to overhead thus being more completive in the marketplace and meeting consumer pricing demands.

So, where does this new bread of entrepreneur go to gain the expertise to compete in a global market? They go to the experts in Internet Marketing.

In this article you will learn three methods for SEO strategy including types of keywords and where to get great keyword and research, and you will learn where to place your keywords within your text document and the value of link building: both inbound and outbound to enhance your SEO performance.

Keyword Tools and Research

Our first step is to determine the intent of our page reader and consider what our customer is thinking about when they perform a search. This is where you need a crystal ball. You should also realize that the markets are always changing so it would benefit you to continually perform ongoing research to determine if the keyword that you are considering and subsequently selecting continues to be appropriate as time goes on. You should also design each page within your website or Blog utilizing a primary keyword and a secondary keyword and create content around the keywords you have chosen.

Google has a free keyword tool, but I prefer the Wordtracker Keyword Research Tool although I use both. When you type in the intended keyword the program will search for the top 100 search terms including the one that you originally submitted. You may discover that there is a more popular keyword used which may alter your selection process. Wordtracker has a premium paid program which offers more in depth analytics. If you are taking you business seriously, keyword research creates the foundation to achieving relevance in your SEO strategy. Not only is Wordtracker easy to use, there website is full of useful SEO information written by some really great writers.

There are two types of keywords; “seed” keywords and “long tail” keywords. An example; a seed keyword would be “home business” and a long tail keyword would be “how to make money in my home”. The long tail keywords are more specific and show that a customer has refined their search and looking for a specific answer to a question.

Each page within your website should not be less than 1000 words and search engines ignore incidental words like; and, the, a, of, or and periods, comma’s etc. It’s ok to use singular, plurals and synonyms. Avoid loading too many keywords into your page or it becomes choppy and unnatural for your reader.

Now here’s a little trick that I learned to make your long tail keyword flow. Using the long tail keyword referenced above, you can create two sentences. Now here is my example-“Using a simple marketing tool I learned how to make money. In my home business I market numerous affiliate programs”. This is just one example of how you can be creative with your copy using one long tail keyword and making two sentences with it. At one time there was a rule that you should have between 5% and 7% keyword density in your copy but it’s simply not true. Sure, frequency will improve ranking, but with today’s sophisticated SEO systems quality copy rules. Besides, if you go overboard on keyword density it acts the opposite for search engine optimization and the systems will actually ignore your document.

Keyword Placement

Positioning your keywords is fundamental to attain good SEO strategy. Your keyword should be placed within the first three letters of your headline. If you have the ability to create a sub-header place a keyword in that headline also. Your page title should also contain your keyword. A good description can increase your click thru rate but some experts believe that the description will not improve your SEO ranking. It is a good idea to also include a “call to action” in the description section using your primary and secondary keyword selection.

If you are writing an Article and it calls for a summary, consider placing your keywords in this area as well but only if it makes sense, don’t go overboard. Always posture your copy as if you are speaking to a friend making sure that it has good content overall.

Remember your page rank will depend on the content and relevance of the party making the request. Any document will rank on a multitude of keywords contained in your document and not necessarily as you planned so your intent must be specific for proper SEO results.

Link Building

Now here’s where it gets fun! For search engines to consider you valuable, you must have credible links. This is no different from “Tell me who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are”.

There are two types of links; inbound and outbound links. Inbound links are based on content and promotion. Content links can be derived from articles, pictures, stories, Blogs, news and videos, all linking back to you. It can also be generated from free reports. In addition inbound links can be created through press releases, news letters, personal contacts, social bookmarking and article submissions. This plays a major role in you overall SEO strategy.

Link building is an ongoing process. You may want to create a list imagining what your fans would really like to learn about and related to your topic. By creating rich content, you will provide a reason why other sites would be inclined to link to you. The list you create may have a number of businesses or services or service providers that you have experience with that would create value to your reader. By keeping your site updated with new content it gives a reason for your reader to return.

Make a list and write down everything that you feel makes your site unique. If you could dominate the search engines, what keyword would best describe your business? As an exercise enter the keyword into Google. What 50 to 100 sites are displayed? Then divide that grouping into two categories. The first category could be your competitors and the second category could potentially be affiliates where inbound links would be feasible, or you may be able to publish articles or reviews where inbound links could be attained. By linking or being linked to these “Top Guns” you create instant credibility with your SEO strategy.

As a final word, always provide relevant content, share it liberally, and never, never stop marketing to gain search engine optimization.

This is a real business to make money now, check it out. I know many people are struggling right now and looking for a way to make money. Like most people any money just to pay their bills and survive would be helpful in this dreadful economy. But where do you find a job when  most companies doing more laying-off  than hiring?

To make money from home would be the ideal situation and there are a lot of opportunities on the Internet. But what if the Internet is just not for you? Many money making opportunities involve an advanced form of Network marketing called Internet marketing, but in 99% of the cases, it takes time to make money no matter what they tell you. A  prediction of  two futures

The Internet is changing the way the world does business. The economy is driving more and more people to the Internet to find a solution to generate income. There were over 3.3 million searches in the month of November 2009 for the term “home business” according to Google’s Keyword Tool. People are searching the Internet for new and better ways to make money.

But the Dragon of Google holds the keys to the Kingdom of Internet marketing; until now! For those who wish to be on the forefront of this new age there is only one product; one tool, that is comprehensive enough to master Internet Marketing and the complexities that technology brings.

• We even keep our cars 2 years longer than they did 30 years ago.
• To retire you will need $1 Million in savings to generate a $3,000.00 monthly income
• 80% of America is under water and drowning in financial debt trapped between that economy that once was and the one we are living today.

The problem compounds.

Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki mention this concern in their book “Why we want You to be Rich”. They fear that money is shifting hands in America and we becoming a nation of two classes of people; either very rich or very poor which is occurring in other parts of the world.

These are some excerpts from their book referenced above;

“Unlike Social Security, Medicare H1 program has been experiencing a cash flow deficit since 1992- current payroll taxes and other revenues have been insufficient to cover benefit payments and program expenses…In essence, Medicare has already crossed the point where it is a net claimant on the Treasury- a threshold that Social Security is not expected to reach until 2013…”

“Nearly one in two Americans will need some type of  long-term care, but only one in four can afford long-term private nursing home care, which now averages $41,000 (in 1999 dollars) a year. Only 1 percent of Americans have bought long-term health care insurance. So most are hoping to rely on Medicaid.”

“After a short initial contribution, Medicaid will drop out of the picture until the patients resources are spent down to poverty level… The Boomer who planned to sail around the world on his own boat might find himself selling his car to keep mom and dad in a decent facility.”

“You’re saying its $72 trillion in off-balance sheet obligations?”… “That’s more money than all the money in the bond and stock markets in the world.”

“It’s time to raise our financial IQ.”

And the answer is?

Referring back to Paul Pilser’s statement, so where are these millionaires coming from? These 10 million millionaires are not being created from new money coming into the economy, but rather a re-distribution of the money that is currently in the marketplace from people like you and me.

No one trusts advertising anymore, It’s a “people to people” business today, just like it has been since the beginning of time. Today Internet marketing is very sophisticated we promote through “Self Branding”, we incorporate “SEO” into our landing pages, we use “split testing” to determine our effectiveness and incorporate the “S-1” variable to gain relevance with our targeted customer. In addition, Blogging, tweets, Facebook and videos play an important role in web 2.0 exposure.

Education is the key ingredient for all Internet Marketing, in a world where the only thing constant is change. Going door-to-door in cyberspace is a difficult task unless you have the best Internet Marketing System on the planet.

• People underestimate the number of those who will say “no”. We are so exited about the opportunity that we just became involved in that we just can’t believe that everyone we talk to is not as excited as we are. Someone says no, and we deflate like a balloon at yesterday’s birthday party.

Don’t take it personal, maybe the timing was wrong. You can contact them again as you build your business. The industry average is only about the same as a mail-out campaign in a traditional business, which is about 3-4 percent. It’s ok for people to say no! Every “no” gets you closer to the “yes”. Remember the 4-S’s; Some will, Some won’t, So what, Someone’s waiting.

• People fail to take action. In the real estate business there is a saying “what are the three most important aspects of real estate? And the answer is…Location, Location and Location. Well, in the Network Marketing business it’s Marketing, Marketing and Marketing.

People get caught up in listening to tapes, watching videos, listening to Webinars, reading all their emails, shuffling the papers on their desk and doing everything but building their business.

 What you need to be doing are things that promote your business, like article marketing, making a video and creating a Blog  . You need to create rich content and drive traffic to your opportunity from you article writing, video’s and social networking sites; such as Facebook , Twitter and Myspace, etc.

 Unfortunately people fail to take action and inaction equates to failure. If you feel that you’re too new to offer advice, don’t worry we all started at the same place. Do your research. You are going to make some mistakes but it’s ok.

 This is not brain surgery and you the patient will live. Mike Dillard would probably admit that he himself was the biggest procrastinator of all time; he spent 4 years shuffling paper. Then the light bulb in his head turned on.

 If you don’t know of Mike you will have the opportunity to preview some of his videos when you access the link provided. He says that new people are “ignorance on fire” (that’s a compliment by the way). What he was saying is that enthusiasm sells. So get yourself focused and start Marketing.

• The third mistake is begging. People sell, sell, sell …wrong! You are a business owner and recruiter. Your job is to interview candidates for your business Remember the previous bullet point?

You are looking for three (3) percent of the population. Ask questions. Find out there “WHY”.  Why are they looking to make extra money?  What is motivating them to make a change in their life? How much money do the want to make?

 You are the one that makes the final decision and whether or not they are right for the position that you are offering. If you over-sell, they will get buyers remorse and quit anyway, so why waist your time?

 Present the information and let your systems and tools do the sifting and sorting. The cream always rises to the top.
